Teaching Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
- £24,414 pro rata (Grade 2.2)
- TBC hours per week, term time only
- Fixed term contract until 31 August 2026 initially.
- Required as soon as possible
Blundeston CEVC Primary School are seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our school community to support pupils and teachers in class to ensure the effective delivery of teaching and learning. We encourage a love of learning across every aspect of school life and have high aspirations for all, rooted in a caring Christian ethos.
As a TA in our school you will also undertake intervention sessions and learning programmes to support individuals or groups of pupils to develop their knowledge and for additional support in their learning journey. This may include support for pupils’ that have additional educational needs.
You will work closely under the direction of Class Teachers to support the preparation, delivery and monitoring of teaching and learning. Part of this role involves support with school clubs and you will be expected to work some hours at after school club and breakfast club.
- You will play a pivotal role in ensuring pupil wellbeing, progress and discipline and will provide regular feedback from monitoring pupils’ work and engagement to support teachers and pastoral teams to identify and evaluate the impact of teaching, learning and emotional support.
- You will work in line with our policies and procedures to create and uphold the core school values of family, flourish and respect to achieve our vision of ‘a place to flourish’. Our children are encouraged to develop their understanding of, and reflect upon, these values through our curriculum and collective worship programme.
- You will undertake mandatory training and embrace continuous growth as well as taking responsibility for your own personal development.
