Permanent Cleaner Required


Blundeston CEVC Primary is a thriving and popular Church of England school in rural Suffolk. Our staff say that it is a great place to work, they feel valued and that they wouldn’t want to work anywhere else!


We are looking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic and reliable Cleaner to join our team.


Skills required:

  • Ability to clean to a high standard, with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • A sound knowledge of health and safety policies is desirable (although training will be given)
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the school, including working hours.



  • Cleaning classrooms, activity areas, corridors, toilets, offices and other staff areas
  • Safe use of equipment and cleaning chemicals, in accordance with COSHH guidelines
  • Deep cleaning of areas which have been used for isolation by pupils/staff
  • Ensuring dispensers and cleaning consumables are replenished
  • Commit and contribute to the school’s strong safeguarding culture, including attending regular training.

This is a part-time, permanent post, starting as soon as possible. Term-time only (38 weeks per year). 15 hours a week, 3.00 - 6.00pm daily.


Salary: £18,333 pro rata (Grade 1, Point 1).
